Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) is a comprehensive systems software and firmware update solution which is delivered as a single ISO image. This solution uses Smart Update Manager (SUM) as the deployment tool.
ProLiant is a brand of server computers that was originally developed and marketed by Compaq.
After Compaq merged with Hewlett Packard, HP retired its Netserver brand in favor of the ProLiant brand.
The brand is currently marketed by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

Lights-Out Remote Console for Windows can be used to remotely mount a below Service Pack for ProLiant ISO image to a virtual drive on a ProLiant server.


The USB Key Utility for Windows can be used to write one or more of the below Service Pack for ProLiant ISO images to a USB flash drive.

Make sure you are in compliance with HPE licensing before downloading and using any of these service packs. A support contract with HPE may be required.

How to deploy

1-Copy the SPP to a USB drive, hard drive, or file system. When using a USB thumb drive, the ISO must be bootable.
2-Boot the server so it launches the operating system on the SPP ISO.
3-Select either automatic mode or interactive mode:
4-If user select automatic mode, the firmware will be updated on the server automatically without further interaction.
5-If user select interactive mode, follow the instructions on the screen.
